The Shape of Water

"Unable to perceive the shape of you, I find you all around me. Your presence fills my eyes with your love. It humbles my heart, for you are everywhere."

Narration at the end of the movie "The Shape of Water"
Adapted works of Hakim Sanai

From the beginning of time, many definitions and interpretations have been laid out in an attempt to identify the universal phenomenon, love. But these infinite attempts at definition makes it clearer that there is no uniformity, no rules or laws, and most importantly no limits to where love can bloom.

The Shape of Water (2017) is a American film directed by Guillermo del Toro and written by del Toro and Vanessa Taylor. Sally Hawkins and Doug Jones star in the film bringing to life the desperation and uniqueness of love. Set in the American Cold War era this film has enough suspense and emotion to capture the undivided attention of viewers.

The Shape of Water has won 4 Oscar awards. It has also accumulated 117 other wins and 322 nominations of various awards. That says it all, really.

  2. Water is a colourless, odourless liquid with many specific properties. 'The crookedness' of a stick dipped in water is due to its refractive index. Water is a universal solvent. More than 75% of our body is simply water !
